VersaCAD Metric or Imperial?

A topic that often arises among AutoCAD users is that of converting a drawing done in metric to imperial units (or vise-versa). Scale up (or down) by a factor of 25.4? To how many decimal points do you calculate the factor to? Well, Hellooo VersaCAD!

This is NOT a problem in VersaCAD, 'cause VersaCAD knows how this is done! Start a new drawing in VersaCAD, set [U]nits-[U]nits to whatever..., inches for example and start drawing. Need to add some portions to drawing to which you have only been supplied with millimeter dimensions? No problem.

[F]iler [S]ave the drawing, start a [N]ew drawing. From the main menu, again set [U]nits-[U]nits, but this time set the units to millimeters. Now you can retrive you "Inch" drawing via [F]iler [M]erge into the new metric drawing. Inquire any object and see its length/size displayed in mm's. Add the metric "stuff", save again, new again, Units Units again in inches and, again, filer merge the drawing once more.

Round trip conversion of drawing unit system - no scale factors -just good old VersaCAD doing its thing. Gotta love it:)
